These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our website https://deqmeupp.com (the "Site"), and the purchase of any fashion, costume or imitation jewellery products from us. By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Nature of products (imitation jewellery disclosure)
- Non-precious materials: every item sold on this Site is fashion, imitation or costume jewellery. Our products are not made of solid gold, silver, platinum or natural precious gemstones, unless the product title or description explicitly says otherwise.
- Materials used: products may use base metals (such as brass, copper, alloy or stainless steel), synthetic or lab-created stones (cubic zirconia, glass beads, acrylic), and metal plating (such as gold-tone, silver-tone or rhodium polish).
- No precious-metal hallmarking: products are not subject to precious-metal hallmarking standards (e.g. BIS hallmarking), unless sold under a certified 925 sterling silver category.
2. Product visuals, variations & handmade characteristics
- Handcrafted variations: many of our pieces are hand-assembled or hand-enamelled, or use natural or synthetic stones. Minor variations from the displayed images in finish, tone, alignment or colour are part of handcrafted imitation jewellery and are not a defect.
- Display colours: we make every effort to show product colours accurately. Actual colours depend on your screen settings, monitor colour calibration and room lighting.
3. Product wear, care & maintenance
- Plating & tarnishing: anti-tarnish coatings and metal polish naturally wear off over time with exposure to air, moisture, skin oils, friction and chemicals. Oxidation, or gradual fading of gold-tone or silver-tone plating, is normal wear and tear and is not covered under any quality warranty.
- Usage guidelines: to make your jewellery last longer:
- keep it away from water, perfumes, lotions, hairsprays and sanitisers;
- avoid wearing it during sports, swimming, bathing or sleep;
- store each piece separately in a dry, airtight pouch or box;
- avoid storing it in velvet boxes.
- Skin sensitivities & allergies: we use hypoallergenic base metals where possible, but we cannot guarantee that products are completely nickel-free or lead-free unless specified. We are not liable for any allergic reaction or skin irritation caused by wearing our jewellery.
4. Pricing & payments
- Pricing & taxes: all prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable GST, as shown at checkout. Shipping costs, if any, are calculated and added at checkout.
- Pricing errors: we may cancel orders or correct prices in case of typographical or system errors. Any payment already made for a cancelled order will be refunded in full.
- Payment processing: for prepaid orders, full payment must be authorised through our payment gateway before the order is processed or dispatched. Cash on Delivery is offered where available.
5. Shipping, transit damage & unboxing video policy
- Inspection on receipt: please inspect the package when it is delivered.
- Mandatory unboxing video: imitation jewellery is delicate and can be damaged in transit (for example loose stones or bent posts). Customers must record an uninterrupted, continuous video while opening the outer courier packaging for the first time. Claims for missing, wrong or transit-damaged items are accepted only with this video, submitted within 48 hours of delivery.
- Shipping address: customers are responsible for giving a correct and complete shipping address so the order can be delivered smoothly.
6. Returns, exchanges & non-returnable items
- Eligible return window: unused, unworn items in their original packaging with tags intact may be returned or exchanged within 7 days of delivery.
- Hygiene exclusion (earrings & nose pins): for hygiene and health safety, earrings, ear cuffs, nose rings and body jewellery are non-returnable and non-exchangeable once opened or delivered, unless damaged on arrival.
- Non-returnable items: pierced jewellery (earrings and nose pins); custom-made, engraved or altered items; used items; and clearance or discounted items.
- Return shipping: return shipping costs are paid by the customer, unless the return is due to a transit defect verified by an unboxing video.

7. Limitation of warranty & repairs
- No long-term warranty: because costume materials are low-cost, we do not offer long-term durability warranties on plating, stone adhesive or wire wrapping, unless a specific limited warranty (e.g. a 6-month anti-tarnish guarantee) is explicitly stated on the product page.
- Third-party modifications: any attempt to repair, re-solder, polish or alter a product through a third-party jeweller voids all return and replacement rights.
8. Intellectual property
All product photography, logo graphics, design layouts, digital artwork and website text belong to Manikaara. Downloading, copying or commercially re-using our images or product designs without permission is strictly prohibited.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Manikaara shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages resulting from product wear, plating discolouration, allergic reactions or shipping delays. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific item purchased.
